Committees

These are the committees defined within The Republican Women's Club of Katy. Click the view members link or the committee name to see a list of committee members. Hospitality Committee
The Hospitality Committee decorates our meeting room for our general meetings and any other events.
Legislative Committee
Keeps members updated on current and on-going legislative issues.
Membership Committee/New Member Orientation
The goal is to increase membership sign-ups, renewals/retention, and to introduce new members to the club, TFRW, and NFRW. We want our members to become informed voters who understand who their representatives are and how to get involved in the political process.
Special Projects/Voter Integrity
This committee works on Special Projects. Our 2024 project is to recruit enough volunteers to staff all of our voting centers at the upcoming elections. Please add your name so you can be contacted directly about upcoming projects.
Activism
Helping to introduce new members to the club and how they can help out by joining a committee. Members are also introduced to navigating our website, learning about TFRW and NFRW as well as learning who represents them (their SD, HD, CD, etc)
Bylaws/Standing Rules Committee
Conduct a biennial review of the Club bylaws. Request and receive proposed amendments to the bylaws, submit them to the Executive Committee for action. Furnish TFRW Bylaws Committee with a complete set of Club bylaws for review and approval.
Campaign Activities Committee
Help to increase awareness of club committees and activities in which members should be engaging. Report on surrounding club events, GOP events, current candidate campaign activities, get out the vote activities, meet the candidate events, and campaign forums. The main goal is to create descriptive itemized form to track hours for members and to report to TFRW and NFRW for recognition/awards.
Community Engagement Committee
Includes Get out the Vote Activities, Voter Registration Activities, and setting up a RWCK table at local fairs, festivals, etc. The goal is to encourage membership in the Republican Party, to register people to vote, and to encourage people to vote during elections.
Fundraising Committee
Public Relations Committee
Public Relations will include editing and posting the monthly newsletter, website updates, social media management, Text Alerts. Collecting submissions from members and the community for posting review.
